Setting off along Ha Long's coastal road, the sea breeze brushed against our faces as we pedalled into the heart of the city. The open road stretched ahead, with Ha Long Bay's shimmering waters keeping us company. Every turn revealed a new scene, colourful fishing boats bobbing gently in the harbour, locals chatting over morning coffee, and the distant silhouette of limestone karsts rising from the sea.

Our first stop was Bai Tho Mountain, where an ancient temple nestled quietly at its base. The air grew still, carrying whispers of centuries past. We paused to admire the poem carved into the mountain's stone by Emperor Lê Thánh Tông, the faded characters standing as a testament to time and tradition.

Back on our bikes, we wove through narrow streets until the salty scent of fresh seafood led us to the bustling market. The energy was electric, vendors calling out their daily specials, the clatter of fishmongers at work, and the soft splash of water as buckets brimmed with the day's catch. We couldn’t resist trying a local delicacy, a warm and savoury squid cake that melted in our mouths.

The ride continued to Quang Ninh Museum, its sleek black glass exterior reflecting the sky. Nearby, 30/10 Square buzzed with life, families enjoying the open space, and children chasing each other under the afternoon sun. We snapped a few photos, capturing the perfect blend of history and modernity.

Just when we thought the adventure was winding down, our guide led us down a quiet path to a hidden beach. The sand was soft beneath our feet, and the waves lapped gently at the shore. It felt like a secret shared only with those who took the time to explore.

As the sun dipped lower in the sky, we cycled back along the coast, the sea breeze cooling our sun-kissed skin. The tour ended where it began, but the memories lingered, whispers of history, the taste of the sea, and the quiet joy of discovering Ha Long City on two wheels.
