From Indochina Junk, pioneers of Bai Tu Long Bay cruising for over 20 years, the Red Dragon is a boutique junk with traditional decoration and modern comforts, designed for a slower, quieter and more intimate voyage. Its 'Timeless Voyage' sails far off the beaten track into the untouched reaches of Bai Tu Long Bay, reaching Da Xep (Da Xep Park), Cong Dam and Cong Do, areas most overnight cruises never reach. With only a limited number of cabins, the atmosphere is calm and personal, and after kayaking and cave exploration you return to a mineral seawater pool, a sauna, spa treatments and refined relaxation spaces. A well-hidden cave, a cooking demonstration, sunset and Tai Chi round out the experience.

The Itinerary

How your 2 days / 1 night unfolds.

Day 1

Hanoi → Bai Tu Long Bay

Pick-up from the Hanoi Old Quarter by luxury van around 08:20–08:45, arriving at the Indochina Junk lounge around 11:30. Transfer by electric cart to the port and board the Red Dragon with a welcome drink and safety briefing. Lunch is served with fresh Quang Ninh seafood as the junk sails into Bai Tu Long Bay. In the afternoon, explore the well-hidden Thien Canh Son Cave and kayak among the limestone islands of the Da Xep and Cong Dam areas. Return for sunset, a Banh Xeo cooking demonstration, dinner and evening squid fishing.

Day 2

Bai Tu Long Bay → Hanoi

Begin with a sunrise Tai Chi session on the sundeck and breakfast. A final kayak or cave visit in the Cong Do area, then return to check out. The junk arrives at port late morning; on the drive back, stop at Yen Duc Village, a traditional agricultural village, for a water puppet show before continuing to Hanoi.
